Why Jackfruit Barbacoa?

At Tacotarian at Home, we created our barbacoa pouches to give you all the flavor of traditional barbacoa with none of the meat. Our plant-based version is made with tender jackfruit, simmered in a deep, smoky blend of spices. Jackfruit is naturally meaty in texture, rich in fiber, low in calories, and free of cholesterol, soy, and gluten.

Fiber is Trending And Jackfruit Delivers

If you’ve noticed fiber is having a moment in wellness circles, you're not alone. From gut health to blood sugar balance, fiber is one of the most in-demand nutrients right now. According to recent consumer trend reports, more people are prioritizing high-fiber foods as part of their daily routine , and jackfruit is a perfect fit.

Jackfruit contains both soluble and insoluble fiber, which supports digestion, keeps you fuller longer, and promotes a healthy gut microbiome. Unlike heavily processed meat alternatives, it’s a whole food source that aligns with the growing interest in simple, clean-label ingredients.
