Tacotarian’s SBA Award Journey: A Taco-Fueled Celebration of Small Business

What a whirlwind few months it’s been! We’re still riding high from being named the 2025 SBA Small Business Persons of the Year for Nevada, and we want to take a moment to say thank you—to our team, our community, and everyone who’s been part of this wild, taco-filled ride.

This award means the world to us because it recognizes more than just business success—it highlights resilience, innovation, and community impact. And that’s what Tacotarian is all about.

From Washington D.C to Las Vegas

We packed our bags and flew to Washington, D.C. to represent Nevada at the National Small Business Week celebration. It was an unforgettable experience to be surrounded by some of the most inspiring small business owners from across the country. We attended roundtables, networking events, and award presentations, and felt truly honored to share Tacotarian’s story on a national stage.

After being announced as Nevada’s winners in DC, we were honored at a local SBA luncheon here in Las Vegas where we were joined by fellow entrepreneurs, supporters, and community leaders.

One of the most meaningful moments came when Congresswoman Susie Lee sent a heartfelt video message congratulating us for our work and dedication to growing a mission-driven business in Southern Nevada. We also received a special shoutout from the Mayor of Las Vegas, who recognized Tacotarian’s contributions to the city’s vibrant small business community.

A Mission That Goes Beyond the Plate

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Tacotarian isn’t just about tacos—it’s about making a difference.

Our motto, “Saving the world one taco at a time,” is at the heart of everything we do. From offering plant-based food that’s better for people and the planet to donating a portion of proceeds to local nonprofits, we’re proud to use our platform to support the causes we care about.

This year alone, we’ve raised over $10,000 for charities like the Nevada SPCA, Foster Kinship, Foundation for Recovery, Reps and Steps, and Farm Animal Sanctuary—and we’re just getting started.
